Vendor Essentials for your Small Business
Vendor Essentials for your Small Business

Hey, friend! If you are new to pop-ups or looking for a refresh, see my list below for all of what I consider my vendor essentials!

1. Stands with height

One thing I learned very quickly is that stands with height STICK OUT! That is important, especially when you are at an event with many vendors. I create height at my vendors with a variety of jewelry stands and stacking crates for other products.

2. Baskets

The opportunities to design your table with baskets are endless. You can be creative with different sizes, shapes, and colors. Or, if you want a more uniform look, then have stackable baskets for display too!

 3. Price signs & a price gun

This is an obvious one but you need to have your prices displayed in some way. If you have multiple products on one table that all kind of go together, then having a sign with listed prices would be a great idea!

4. Check out coupons

This is something I totally wish I had from the beginning of my vendor displays. I have one of my glasses stuffed with popsicles full of discounts. (Free sticker, $1 off purchase, 10% coupon code for website and collect email).

5. Spandex Tablecloths

I found my absolute favorite tablecloths for vendors that are seriously my go-to and the only tablecloth I will use. They are so easy to put on, they don't slip and will cover your items underneath the table.

6. Décor

I like to imagine that my vendors would resemble a store if I had one, so I try and decorate accordingly! Doing so adds a personal touch and gives off the vibe of my business.

7. Business sign

This is also an obvious one! But you should have your business name around your vendor display so people know who you are and remember who you are. Maybe it's a wooden sign, banner, picture frame, etc.!

8. Totes for hauling inventory

Save yourself lots of trips to and from the car by purchasing a few totes to haul your inventory. Better yet, if you like the crate look, then this is a good multi-purpose use. I use my crates for hauling and for my tables.

9. Tissue paper & Bags & Business Cards

You should aim to have nice packaging when people are purchasing from you, as it leaves a good impression. I wrap certain items in tissue paper and top each bag off with a piece of tissue paper and a business card inside.

10. Money box

For the love of all things furry, buy yourself a money box. Just do it. You won't regret it. But you will regret stuffing all of your cash in your pockets and feeling extremely disorganized!

This was just a list of the few basic things I always make sure I have for my vendors. If you have any questions or recommendations, please share!
